Centrick secures another major estate management contract
A new contract to manage a major development of more than 400 homes in Surrey has been secured by residential and commercial property specialist Centrick.
Centrick’s building and estate management division has been instructed by the residential management company at New Central, a £55 million mixed-use development in Woking.
New Central is a commercial and residential development with 11 blocks consisting of 478 apartments and eight commercial units, located in central Woking.
Centrick’s building and estate management director Sarah Hammond said: “This is another fantastic result for our team which is having a year to be proud of, winning major contracts right across the country.
“In recent months we have been appointed to manage the Spectrum development in Manchester and Park Central in Birmingham. To follow up these large contracts with the success at New Central clearly demonstrates the significant strength of our estate management division.
“We are looking forward to working alongside New Central (Woking) Management Company and all the residents to maintain the buildings and communal areas, while improving communication and the delivery of services,” she added.
Centrick managing director Phil Johns said: “New Central is a wonderful development and we are very proud to be appointed to deliver building and estate management services, working alongside the residential management company. This is yet another major vote of confidence in our team which is making a habit of winning major contracts right across the country.”
New Central has retail units, an office block, residents’ gym, six houses and parking for 350 cars. Buildings are fitted with low-energy appliances and light fittings, and ninety-three of the apartments use energy generated from photovoltaic cells on the roof of the building. It includes a 21-storey apartment block – Woking’s tallest building – which is in keeping with Woking Borough’s drive towards creating high-rise developments within the town centre.
Birmingham-based Centrick is investing more than £1 million this year as it recruits around 50 staff to deliver services from new regional offices in Sheffield and Gerrard’s Cross, as well as city hubs in Manchester, Portsmouth, and Nottingham.
More hubs at key locations are in the pipeline. Centrick’s building and estate management and build to rent teams will grow to more than 70 by the end of the year, handling a portfolio of over 350 developments comprising around 20,000 homes.
