Birmingham for the food lovers:

The Birmingham Restaurant Festival celebrates and showcases some of our best establishments across the city. Running until the 27th August the Festival brings together an eclectic and diverse selection of restaurants, from Dishoom to Fiesta Del Asado, Orelle, Aluna and Lasan – as well as a huge besides AND each with a bespoke and exciting new menu for you to try. Explore all of the participating restaurants and send your tastebuds on an adventure. 

Birmingham for the sports enthusiasts:

Birmingham is no stranger to major sporting events, from The Ashes to The Commonwealth Games, we know how to host a sporting spectacle. The Hundred returns to Edgbaston this August! Experience the fast-paced 100 ball tournament and experience a new way to watch cricket. But The Hundred isn’t just an epic game of sport, with live performances and entertainment on the main stage, this is a fantastic day out for families and friends.

We may not have the seaside on our doorstep, but luckily Birmingham Beach is back for 2023! Located at the Smithfield site next to the Bullring, Birmingham Beach will transport you to the seaside in the heart of the city. Feel the sand between your toes, relax on the deckchairs, embrace the water features and enjoy the funfair. Open all summer long, this is the perfect day out for all of the family. 

Birmingham for the art fanatics:

Embrace the arts and culture of our beautiful city at the Birmingham Weekender 2023. This free festival of the arts is open to everyone and will see the streets of Birmingham become full of colour and energy. Including lifesized retro arcades, aerial dance duos, silent disco walking tours, mass choirs and so much more, there is something for all ages.

Birmingham for the outdoor enthusiasts: 

With more than 8,000 acres of green space, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to planning a summer walk in Birmingham. Explore Moseley Bog and discover the inspiration behind some of JRR Tolkein’s key locations in The Lord of the Rings; Take a stroll through Canon Hill Park and hop on the pedal boats or embrace the wildflower meadows; Or for those looking to head further out of the city, Lickey Hills boasts fantastic views of the West Midlands and beyond.

Birmingham for the alfresco diners: 

After a long day, there’s often nothing better than enjoying a cold drink whilst the summer sun sets for the evening. We know that Birmingham prides itself on its culinary delights, but we have a few favourites when it comes to those summer nights. The Button Factory in the famous Jewellery Quarter has a fantastic terrace, or head down the canal and pop into The Distillery where you’ll be served stonebaked pizzas and can watch the latest sporting action on their outdoor screen. If Digbeth is your location of choice, Luna Springs offers excellent entertainment in their fully outdoor venue, or head to The Old Crown, Birmingham’s oldest standing inn!

Birmingham’s rising popularity, range of amenities and excellent transport links means that a variety of homebuyers and renters are now looking to Birmingham as their new home. According to Rightmove the average house price in Birmingham has increased by 9% since 2019 to £274,781 and the Council’s plans to build 2000+ new homes by 2029, reflects the fact that the desire for homebuyers and renters to make Birmingham their home shows no signs of slowing.

If that wasn’t enough, with the introduction of HS2, journey times to London will be sliced.
