Nineteen out of 21 apartments released at Barberry Developments’ Harborne Village Apartments were sold at their launch.
The apartments are on the market with Centrick Property, with sales director Andy Butts reporting queues forming prior to the show apartments opening on Saturday, 21 February.
Barberry is creating 25 one and two-bed new homes overlooking Harborne High Street. Work on the refurbishment of the building – which includes upgrading the exterior and common parts as well as the apartments – is underway, with the first buyers expected to move in over the summer.
The development includes a two-bedroom penthouse with a 2,000 sq ft roof terrace. The property, marketed for £299,950, was sold prior to the launch.
According to Andy Butts, more than 60 people attended the development’s launch, with interest and sales spread evenly between owner-occupiers and buy-to-let investors. Prices for a one-bed started at £129,950.
He said: “We had six sales staff on site and the most popular units had been snapped up by lunchtime. Buyers later in the day had to settle for their second or even third choice apartments.
“Harborne Village Apartments is one of the most popular developments we have been involved in. Its success is testament to Harborne’s reputation as an upmarket suburb with great facilities and easy access to the city centre.”
Part of the ground floor at the development is occupied by hairdresser Love Hair, Love Beauty, with private parking spaces for the majority of residents.
Barberry is bringing forward the three remaining two-bed and two one-bed apartments, to meet demand. Contact us to find out more:
